View Architects Ltd The main entrance building forms the gateway to the Weston College, South West Skills Campus. The building, originally constructed for light industrial use was adapted to provide general teaching classrooms, independent learning facilities, multi-purpose workshops and technology laboratories.
Although the project retains elements of the original substructure and steel frame, the façade is entirely new and provides a landmark entrance to the college’s third campus.
Everlite Concept Within the workshop adjoining the main entrance, the natural light provided by the building length windows is enhanced with Everlite Concept Danpatherm K7. This translucent cladding provides excellent light transmission and thermal insulation while offering an aesthetic appeal at night with the interior lights on.
Mitch Duncan provided to both clients a comprehensive photography survey of the new campus interiors and exteriors during daylight and at twilight to illustrate the transformation from the previous use of the building.
